Story
Background
I’m a medical doctor by training. I earned my MBBS from Shaheed Monsur Ali Medical College and went on to specialise in cardiology at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Dhaka, one of the country’s leading cardiac institutions. My own schooling was at Bangladesh International Tutorial, where I first sat the same Cambridge papers I now coach my students through, so I know the syllabus from the inside, not just the textbook. Medicine taught me how the human body runs on chemistry every second of every day, and that’s the real world bridge I bring into every lesson. When I explain a reaction, I’m not reading it off a slide; I’m describing something I’ve watched play out in patients, in pharmacology, in a hospital ward. Chemistry has been the constant in my career, and I’ve been teaching it full time in Dhaka since 2016. I currently teach at Octagon Learning in Uttara, where I’ve been on the faculty for close to a decade, and at Coach Up in Bashundhara R/A, where I run small batch sessions for IBDP, MYP, O Level, and AS & A Level students. Before that I spent seven years at Gnosis Coaching Center, building structured chemistry programmes for O Level and A Level students across the city. That’s almost ten years of full time coaching, thousands of students, and year after year of Cambridge and IB results that speak for themselves. What I offer isn’t a side project or a hobby; it’s my craft, refined through every batch, every past paper, every student who walked in unsure and walked out a confident chemistry student. If you train with me, you’re not getting a part time tutor. You’re getting a doctor who chose to dedicate his career to teaching chemistry the way it was meant to be taught!
Method
Teaching Philosophy
Most chemistry tutors teach the syllabus. I rebuild the student.
The students who walk into my classroom struggling, anxious, or convinced they’re “just not a chemistry person” are exactly the ones I’m most interested in. because that transformation is the entire point of what I do. Through rigorous, disciplined training, I don’t just close knowledge gaps; I reshape the way you think, study, and approach problems from the ground up. The work is personal, structured, and demanding, because real confidence isn’t given to you, it’s earned through mastery. My job is to build that confidence in you, one concept at a time, until you stop doubting yourself in front of a chemistry paper.
My core philosophy is simple, but uncommon: strong students aren’t doing different things. they’re doing the same things, better. Better notes. Better questions. Better problem-solving habits. Better discipline under pressure. That’s the edge I build into every student who trains with me.
And then there’s the part most classrooms miss entirely. Chemistry, the way it’s usually taught, lives in a virtual world full of diagrams, equations, abstract symbols floating on a whiteboard. My role is to build the bridge between that theoretical world and the real one: the reactions happening in a lab, in a factory, in the human body, in the air around you. Once you cross that bridge with me, chemistry stops being something to memorise and starts being something you actually see. That’s when the marks follows naturally, and often dramatically.
If you’re aiming at top grades in Cambridge O Level Chemistry (5070), AS & A Level Chemistry (9701), IBDP Chemistry, or MYP Sciences, I’ll show you the difference between scraping a pass and walking into an exam knowing exactly what’s being asked, and why.
